Great friends!

Well....it's my last night of being in my 20s...feels a little emotional, but also very exciting! So...might be a cheesy post... you've been warned!

I spent my last night of my 20's with my very best friends. It truly was just one of those nights! We had a great time at 5 Seasons Brewery and everyone got babysitters! (That just adds to the excitement, you know!) Great talking, great drinks, great friends. To those of you that were there..thank you so much for coming out to celebrate! My fabulous husband gave a great little toast... Since it was for my 30th...he did the "30 things I love to hear my wife say.." Some were funny and some were really sweet! Thanks Steven!

So... it's hard to not look back on the last 30 years when it's staring you in the face. There have been some really amazing things happen in the last 30 years...I would have to say my marriage and my sweet precious angel are at the top of my list. I am also pretty proud of my education.... Good ol' GHS and Georgia Tech! Staying involved with Georgia Tech has been fun... the career of my dreams and being able to stay involved part time and still be a mommy at home with Jack...amazing! My relationship with my parents...they are the most amazing people in the world (Judy .... you are very much a part of that!) ! I have three amazing sisters and two fabulous brothers.... Three "Gigi's" as Jack would call them (Granny to me!) and one Great Hossie! Sally and Ann...seriously, you are amazing. I dont know if you are sisters, best friends, aunts, or moms...so I would say you are everything to me! And to my friends....my old friends and new friends... is anyone this fortunate? I really feel guilty sometimes when I think about my friends. People search their whole lives for friendships like I have. I am thankful everyday for the girls in my life. I would not be the person, friend, wife, or mom I am without them...so when I look back on 30 years of friends, family, trips (again, seriously...we have had some amazing trips!), college, work, home, and love....does anyone EVER have it all?! I really think I do!

So if the next 30 or anything like the first 30........................BRING IT ON!

Where did January go?!

Drinking wine at 10am! Does it get better?!

Silly picture in the flowers!

Pacific Coast at Point Lobos State Park

Drinks at Pebble Beach on the 18th Green at sunset

More scenic Pacific Coast

Wow, it's been a while since the last post! Actually, it doesnt seem that long when January FLEW by! And that means my 20's are very quickly coming to an end! Can't believe that either!
It's been a great month for the Leonards! Settling down after the holidays has been really nice. We have taken advantage of the cold weather and early nights by going to bed early and getting back into the swing of our routine. Of course, we started the month with a FABULOUS trip to California with the Coopers! It was just amazing! Lots of fun and lots of wine!
Jack is becoming such a little person. He has gotten so big and is having so much fun! He talks to us non-stop and is quite the parrot! He will just about repeat anything we say... we are really having to be aware of this! He likes singing his ABC's, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Ring around the Rosies (which requires all of the dancing and falling down), Monkeys jumping on the bed, and lots more! He is enjoying playing with all of his friends and is still doing great at Woodchase! We introduced a potty this month... he likes to sit on it and read his books at night before bath time, but no accidental happenings so far! He is such a joy to us! He brings new excitement and fun everyday!
February brings a birthday, the Daytona race, Gigi coming to visit, parties, visits to Gainesville, and a Buffington family get together at our house! Lots to look forward to! I am sure it will fly by too!
Check out the pictures from California! (Sorry none of Jack this time! I will download soon!)

How did it happen so fast?

I love you Daddy!

This is neat sand Mommy!

I love train tables!

Stacking blocks at the museum!

Hey George!

It is really 2010. I just downloaded pictures and dated them 1-4-09.... then I saw another folder dated 1-19-09...how could that be?! Probably because it's 1-4-10!
I can NOT begin to explain how great this past week was at our house! Steven and I were both home all week with Jack! We played a lot and got LOTS done around the house...Steven said we completed our list and then some... I could argue with that, but I won't! There is always more on the list! We did get a lot done though!
We took Jack to the Atlanta Children's Museum on Tuesday. He really loved it! I dont know if I have seen him that excited! He was running and squealing from one exhibit to the next! We will definitely be going back... Nunno and Poppa kept Jack (and cousin Anna!) on New Year's Eve and we got him back on Sat. morning. We had a great New Year's with great friends and fabulous food! Steven and I had ALL day Friday at home just us! It was really awesome! WE stayed in pj's all day, drank coffee by the fire, watched several movies and even sat outside with the chiminea and drank beer! It doesnt get much better?!
Now it's 2010 and back to the routine....well, as close to routine as you can get when you leave for California in a little over a week!!! We are so excited about our trip and celebrating my 30th birthday (it's still a few weeks away but why not celebrate early?!)
It has been a great start to 2010 so far!
