SO proud!

Steven and I are so proud of Jack! He went ALL day yesterday without an accident!!! He is such a big boy and he was SO proud of himself! I just can't believe he did so well! He wore his big boy Thomas underwear all day! He told me about 100 times last night.. "I tee-tee on the potty!" We got a cookie from Publix AND Daddy came home from work with Gordon the train! (It's one of the Thomas characters) Jack was so excited! He jumped up and down and danced the whole time Steven was taking it out of the box! He kept coming up and telling us "I got Gordon! I got Gordon!"
We are hoping for another successful day! We are so proud of our little man!!!!

Well.....

.... the weekend went VERY well with potty training! Jack is really doing great! I will have to say that this process makes me a nervous wreck though! I am watching him constantly!!!! However, he is such a big boy! So today is day 5 of our start to real potty training. Jack wore his big boy underwear all day yesterday (except for nap time) and had one accident yesterday morning. He stayed dry the rest of the time! He even stayed dry form 4:30-7:30 last night! The boy can HOLD it! He finally went tee-tee in the potty before bath time! SO proud! We are rewarding dry underwear and going in the potty!
Today we sent him to school in big boy underwear! Now that is scary! But, if we put a pull up on then I am 100% sure he will go in the pull up... so we can't regress! I just called to check on him and they said that they did have to change his underwear but NOT because he had an accident, but because he got some tee-tee on him when he WENT IN THE BATHROOM!!!!!!! Isn't that great?! They really wanted me to know that it was not an accident! I am so proud! Oh I hope the rest of the day goes well! I dont want to lose how hard he worked all weekend!!!!
I am sure more updates to come!

Just a few of the fun things that have happened or been said with potty training.. Jack loves to say " I DID IT! I DID IT!" when he goes! He gets so excited and goes back to look at the potty 10 times before we flush it to see that it's there! He also says, "No tee-tee on Mommy, No tee-tee on Daddy, No tee-tee on floor, No tee-tee on Thomas (he has Thomas underwear), or really anything..he told me yesterday, "No tee-tee on tables, No tee-tee on picture"..hmmmm, at least he gets the point! He also likes to talk about the potty dance (I am assuming this is us jumping around screaming and cheering every time he goes...) He also likes to say "Check 'em" ...this is when he feels his underwear to make sure they are still dry! He tells us, "I a Big Boy! I tee-tee on the potty!"
I can't help loving thinking about him running around naked all weekend... too cute! Just makes it too easy to squeeze his cute buns! And he looks so cute in his big boy underwear!

Continue to wish us luck!

No Rules Friday...or at least no pants

Watch out here I come!

Whoa! I am getting really wet!

Right in the face! I love it!

Thanks for the towel Aunt Denise!

Water slide at the Leonards...in my clothes!

Now this is more fun with water!

Playing my guitar..with no pants!

I really think I deserve a little credit for our day today.... I think that a few years ago the idea of a toddler running around naked, dirty and sticky might have really stressed me out.
I started the day thinking we would work on potty training. Jack is showing so much interest and talks about it ALL the time. I would say overall today was not extremely successful but was also not a loss! We sat on the potty probably 20 times today and talked about it all the time! He did manage to tee-tee a few drops on one of the visits, but went in his pull up twice. The one thing I am noticing is that he will hold it a long time. And he really holds it if he is NAKED!!!
Half way through the morning he wet his pull up so I said it was time to throw it away since we got it wet. That started the naked part of our day. Jack ran aroudn the house playing and eventually the fear of him going on the floor got the best of me so we headed outside. Luckily, his buddy Andrew came over and they played in the backyard for almost 2 hours! They had a blast! Again, Jack had no pants on this whole time! We tried to potty a few times, but he didnt go when he was naked! We ate watermelon and played with bubbles..Jack was a mess. VERY sweaty, sticky, and messy! I decided to water the plants and once Jack saw the hose, all the wanted to do was run through it. I asked to take his pj shirt off (yes, still in part of his pjs at lunch) and he said no... so as the day was going, I said, Alright whatever! He ran through the hose for 30 minutes. He had a blast! He was soaking wet....but not sticky or sweaty anymore!!! WE finally got dried off, ate lunch, and took a nap!
Aunt Denise got here this afternoon and Jack took to her IMMEDIATELY! It was great! All he wants is to be with Denise and play! They just finished up their bubble bath and he is heading to bed! We grilled hotdogs and played outside tonight and it was perfect! Jack spent another 30 minutes running through the hose..and who knew that the Leonards had a water slide! We had a great night! Naked, messy, sweaty, and sitting on the potty most of the day!
Whew...... glad it's night night time!
Check out a few more pictures!

All three in the pool having fun!

Happy Father's Day to all the Daddys out there! Special wishes to my amazing father and Steven who amazes me everyday with his love for Jack! We had a great weekend filled with friends and family! I realize as I was uploading pictures from the weekend that I didnt get one picture of Steven and Jack together... I think I got wrapped up with the 3 grandkids being together on Saturday and didnt really worry about getting pictures of anyone else! Hmmmm... If I had to guess, I have a picture or two of Steven and Jack around here I could post!

Speaking of pictures, I spent the day putting pictures in albums....well, catching up on that task. I would have to guess somewhere around 600 pictures were worked on today... again, you can see why I wouldnt be worried about getting a picture of Steven and Jack "this" weekend!
Saturday we all went to Jennifer and John's for a late lunch and playing in the backyard! It was so much fun and really so great to see the three grandchildren together (really can't believe there will be two more by the end of this year! WOW - 5 under 3 years old!) They all played great together and had fun! We celebrated Father's Day and Nunno's birthday! Lots of great things to celebrate! We left there and headed to Five Seasons Brewery for dinner with the Coopers and Forgeys! We celebrated Anna and Connor's birthday...and talked about our beach trip in a few weeks! Please cross your fingers that our trip to Seagrove (on the Gulf) continues as planned! It was a fun night out with friends!

Today was Daddy's choice! It started off great when Jack slept until 8:30am! He is a 7:00am baby every day...but we will take it on a Sunday! We got up and Daddy opened some fun presents... a frame painted by Jack, a footprint with a poem from school, a handmade card with a handprint, the new Big Green Egg Cookbook, and several cards! We then headed off to church and then out for pizza! We spent the afternoon just hanging out and doing a few things around the house! It's now night night time for Jack...and we are planning a quiet evening! It really was a very happy day!

Aunt Denise is coming up this weekend and we are so excited!!!!! Jack really loves his Aunt Denise and she loves playing with him! It should be really fun!

Jack had a VERY fun and busy Spring and we are ready for Summer to arrive tomorrow...Of course, it has felt like Summer here in Atlanta for the past month. We are surviving the heat but not loving it! We have spent several days at the pool and are planning on lots more!

Jack is really growing up...some of his latest things.... he LOVES to sing! Sometimes we aren't really sure what he is singing, but there are definitely a few favorites that he sings from beginning to end...and in tune! Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, ABC's, Wheels on the Bus, Where is Thumbkin?, Old McDonald, Thomas the Train (if you have a boy...you know this song!), and a few more! He knows all his days of the week, all his shapes and colors, numbers by sight, and still loves his flashcards! He tells us everything he is doing and everything he would LIKE us to do...Hahahah! He is doing great about asking for things in full sentences..for instance "May I have milk please?" in lieu of "MILK? MILK? MILK.....?" (You get it?!) He tells us stories from school and what they did (and who got in trouble! hahaha) and remembers so many things from weeks ago that we did or talked about. It is truly amazing to us. Again, all things two year olds are supposed to be doing I am sure...but amazes us every day!

On Pregnancy news...we are moving along! 17 weeks now and feeling great! Thank goodness! The dr. appointments have been great and we have an ultrasound on Tuesday July 6...we are just sure it's a boy...but we will wait and see!!!! Very exciting! I am feeling the baby move and flutter around which is so much fun! Staring to look a little more pregnany...but kind of in the in between stage...It is a very exciting time and Jack loves to talk about the baby...let's hope he loves talking about the baby once it's here!

We had an amazing weekend at Mimi and Papa's! It was so relaxing! We ate some really great food (Papa's homemade fried shrimp, cole slaw, and hushpuppies! Mimi's red rice and lots of fresh tomatoes, pork tenderloin on the grill and all sorts of other yummy stuff!) Jack was such a good boy all weekend and loved getting in the river with Daddy! We are pleased that Jack was anxious to get in the river! Maybe he does have some salt water running through those veins!
Granny Floyd and Aunt Denise came down Saturday and spent the day and night with us too! We got lots of good visiting time in and Jack shared lots of love with everyone! The pictures turned out so good!!!
Thank you Mimi and Papa for a heavenly weekend at the river!
