About to head home!

Our very alert little girl on the way home!

We are so very happy to announce the arrival of our sweet baby girl! Lucille "Lucy" Katharine Leonard was born on November 28 at 6:07am.  She weighed 7lbs. 9oz. and was 19.5 in. long. She is doing "fabulous" (As the doctor told us) and is just beautiful.  We are so very blessed to have two beautiful children. Jack is a wonderful big brother and we are so excited about getting her home and having them together.
We went into labor on Saturday night around 10:45pm. My water broke (yep...like in the movies), and we got the house straightened up, took a shower and headed to Northside. We were very fortunate to have great neighbors that came over to sleep while Jack was here.  We got to the hospital around midnight and everything went very quickly from there. Contractions came fast and intense...we were ready to go quickly and Lucy came shortly after! It was a great experience and everyone is doing great! We are so very happy to be home!
We are a very proud family and can't wait everyone to meet our new addition!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! We sure had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! We spent Wednesday night in Gainesville and got to visit with Nunno, Poppa, Aunt Jennifer, Uncle John, and Caitlin! It was so much fun and Jack had a great time! Yesterday, the Buffington family came to Nunno and Poppa's for a big lunch! It was so yummy! The boys fried a turkey and the kids played in the back yard.  We headed back to Atlanta last night and are settled in for a quiet weekend! We decorated one tree this morning and are getting our big tree tomorrow! Jack is LOVING all the Christmas stuff! It's so much fun to see him so excited! He SOOOO carefully unwrapped the ornaments this morning for the "Trip Tree". (We have a small white light tree in the front window with ornaments from any trip we have been on together)

We had a great doctor's appointment on Tuesday for Lucy. She and mommy are both doing great and we are going to Northside Monday morning to be induced (if she doesnt come this weekend). We are really excited and happy about the way it is working out! We will get to be with our doctor and have someone set up to keep Jack! It's amazing what a little planning can do! Overall, everything has gone great with the pregnancy, and our doctor thinks we will go very quickly once we get started.  That will put her here one day early. The anticipation is a little much! We are very excited and going to try to keep ourselves busy this weekend with making sure we get some relaxing in too!

It's been such a great year and so blessed to have so many wonderful things in our lives! We can't wait to spend some good time with Jack this weekend! The last weekend as a family of three!

We are so excited to be the new aunt and uncle of Sweet Baby Jake! Jacob Grady Lothridge was born last Tuesday! He is doing great and SUPER cute! We are so happy he is here and so happy that Britt, Anneke, and Anna are doing so well with their new addition! It is a very exciting time for our family and we are just thrilled to have a new baby to love! Jack was especially excited about meeting Jake this weekend. He was very sweet with him and very happy to get a chance to hold him.  We will only hope that he is that excited about Lucy! It was really a fun morning to get to visit with everyone!

Mimi was here all weekend to visit and help out with everything! We got lots done and enjoyed some down time too! We got all the Christmas stuff out and the house is all decorated (besides the tree...that will come soon enough!) Steven and I went out on a date on Saturday night to Noche, and had a nice quiet Sunday morning around the house! It was really great to have Mimi here, and Jack really loved spending time with her! Lucy decided to NOT make her appearance this weekend while Mimi was in town...I think that would have been too convenient!

Speaking of Lucy.... we are now 39 weeks pregnant and still waiting on our little girl! Luckily, I still feel really great and can't complain too much! However, the anticipation of meeting her has definitely gotten Steven and I a little preoccupied! It's hard to concentrate on much when you are waiting to meet your child! It was nice to have another weekend to do some things around the house and spend time together! This week is Thanksgiving..so kind of hoping she will let us get through the holiday, but we know she is in control now and we will just go with the flow! We go to the doctor tomorrow so we will see what he has to say about her arrival! We did go to Scalini's last night with Julie, Scott, and Caroline! The big Atlanta tradition! I had the eggplant parmesan and signed the book. (Apparently it is supposed to induce labor...if you have the baby within 48 hours of eating there, then you get a gift certificate, a T-shirt, and your picture on the wall! It worked for Aunt Jennifer and Caitlin, so we will see about us!) It was fun and the food was actually really good so it was a fun night even if it doesnt send us into labor!

We are here...bags packed and ready to meet our little girl!

Check out the pictures from the weekend!

Mommy and Daddy on the way out to an adult dinner! 37 weeks

It was another great Fall weekend in Atlanta! We started the weekend celebrating Daddy's birthday on Friday! We had so much fun going out for hibachi with the kids! The Coopers joined us and it was lots of fun! Daddy had a great 35th birthday! Jack made him a cute platter for his low country boils. Jack's handprints look like a crab!

Saturday we went the Ga Tech game and had a great time! Jack really enjoyed it and spent most of the game trying to find Buzz! It was a pretty day and fun to be at a football game.... unfortunately not a great game...but a great day! We had a very low key evening...I think the three of us were worn out after that!

Yesterday, we went to church and out to lunch...just the three of us! Can't believe it will be the four of us soon! We had a nice afternoon and went for a walk before it started raining!
It's a very rainy and dreary day here. Jack and I are enjoying a morning just the two of us! :) We go to the doctor again this afternoon (Quite a part of our routine these days). Jack is enjoying seeing Dr. Marcus every week! Wonder what Little Lucy is up to this week!

There are two links for pictures... a couple from the weekend and then a link to the pictures we had made in Gainesville a few weeks ago!
