Happy Easter Weekend...with a couple of snakes!

It was a VERY happy and fun-filled Easter weekend in Savannah for the Leonards! The kids and I headed down early on Wednesday with Great Uncle John. He was nice enough to brave the ride with the kids! They did excellent! Jack watched a movie, took a little nap and then woke up and had a snack! Lucy slept the whole way and woke up with about an hour to go and sat back there talking sweetly and happy! I was soooo relieved and proud of them (and a little surprised)! We were so glad to have a little extra time for our visit. We went to the Yacht Club most days to look at the boats and play on the playground. Jack was most interested in Uncle John's big boat! We had to go see it every time! He even got to get on it and go down in the "hide out" to play! He thought that was "So neat"! Cousin Sarah helped out with Jack so much! He was crazy about her by the time we left! She helped with bath time and reading "THE WHITE SEAL" (her own made up version each night...it was a very long book!) Friday night we went to a petting zoo and fish fry at the Yacht Club. It was lots of fun and beautiful weather! Jack held TWO snakes (I can't believe it didnt scare me more!) He was so brave and went right up to hold them! They were pretty heavy too! He also held some bunnies, baby chicks, guinea pigs, and a turtle! Daddy got in around bath time on Friday and we were happy to see him!
Saturday we had a big party at Aunt Mimi's house to celebrate Easter and Jack's birthday (yes, I think we have celebrated for about 3 weeks now!). It was so much fun! Jack had a fun Easter Egg hunt and even a Present Hunt!!!! His birthday presents were hidden around the front yard like eggs! That was so fun to watch He got so excited! I think the most excited he got was about his new alligator sleeping bag! He LOVES it! Thank you Nannie! We had a BIG yummy dinner that night! It was a really fun time with family!
Sunday morning we woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had come to see Jack and Lucy! Jack was really excited about his big barrell of pirate men! He is very in to action figures and make believe right now! We all got ready and went to church (and yes, got there on time!). Both kids sat thorugh a 1.5 hour service and were angels!!! Jack even stood at the end of our aisle to say hey to everyone coming back from Communion. We headed to Gigi's house after church to celebrate Easter...and yes, Jack's birthday, with that family! It was such a fun happy afternoon! Jack had another Easter egg hunt and got to blow out candles ONE more time!
We are so blessed to have wonderful family! It was a very fun and happy weekend! We were also happy to get back to our little house last night! We are worn out from all of our "fun"! And yes....there are LOTS of pictures!

Great Report!

We took both kids for their well visits yesterday! That was one long visit with Dr. G! Very glad that Steven and I were both there because that would have been a little overwhelming with both of them! The kids looked great and he was so happy with both of them! Jack took his doctor kit with him and was excited about Dr. G getting there (I know.. a 3 year old that isnt scared of the doctor!) Dr. G walked in..
Jack: "I have a dinosaur shirt!"
Dr. G "What color is that dinosaur?"
Jack: "Green!"
Dr. G: "What kind of dinosaur is that?"
Jack: "A Herbivore!"  (that is an animal that eats plants)

Dr. G just laughed! Apparently most 3 year olds dont know the word "herbivore"! It was pretty funny and why Jack said that instead of Brochiasaurus we aren't sure. We do talk about carnivores and herbivores with him but it was pretty funny!
Jack did great with his exam! He used his stethoscope to help Dr. G. He opened his mouth and let him look in his ears and did great! Lucy was a champ too! When Dr. G listened to her chest...Jack came over and did the same thing to "help" out! He told us that Dr. G is not a stranger too. He is very much into that lately. We hve been talking more and more about strangers.
Both physical exams were perfect and both kids are meeting all their milestones. Jack weighed 34 pounds (75%) and was 38.5 inches tall (75%). Lucy weighed 12lbs. 12oz. (30%) and was 24.5 in. (50%).  Lucy is keeping the tradition with a small head! Both kids have had a 25% head! They are both growing great and we are so proud of them! We got the go ahead to start food with Lucy! We will probably start in a few weeks. I just can NOT believe that she is that age! OH my little baby is growing up!
Jack got no shots and no finger prick! (That helped!!!) They did take his blood pressure for the first time and it was just fine. Lucy got 3 shots and one oral vaccine! She did pretty well with them, but it is still hard to see them stick her. She cried so hard but once I picked her up she was fine! She did great sleeping last night and was happy this morning, so hopefully they aren't bothering her too much!

Way to go Jack and Lucy! We are so proud of yall!

Jack is 3!!!!

Not sure how it happened so fast....

Jack's Birth Day 4-10-08

Jack's 1st Birthday!

Jack's 2nd Birthday!

Jack is THREE!

It has been a WONDERFUL and VERY fast three years! It was another beautiful day for a birthday party (Thank goodness! We would not fit in our house!) Lots of family and friends got together with us to celebrate our sweet little man! Jack had a lot of fun playing with everyone. We did lots of playing and had an Easter Egg Hunt after everyone ate lunch. The kids could pick what color Easter basket they wanted, which Easter grass, and which bunny ears they wanted! They all looked cute in their ears! They all found lots of eggs and quickly found the jelly beans inside of them! (Sorry to the parents for the sugar overdose!) Jack did not really like everyone singing to him again (just like at his school party), but he got over it quickly when he got his cake! I think between the cake, treats, and jelly beans he was on a sugar high! He was absolutely delirious by the time the party was over! He couldnt stop laughing or running around! It was pretty funny actually! He crashed into a nap! When he woke up he asked, "Can we do my party again? I want to do my birthday party again!"
SUCH big thanks to Aunt Mimi for helping us so much! She was such a big help getting ready for the party! She brought lots of decorations and fun Rice Krispy treat Easter eggs for everyone! Nunno and Poppa were also a big help as usual! They helped so much with the kids and cleaning up!

Happy girl!

And one more birthday wish tonight before bed!

We had such a nice night just the four of us on Saturday night! We stayed outside LOTS and ate dinner and played! Just one of those happy times! Today was alot more of the same! We played outside this morning in the new sprinkler game that Uncle Dorin sent Jack and ate lunch out there too! We enjoyed watching the Masters this afternoon and back out for more play time! It was a very happy weekend!
We go to see Dr. G on Tuesday for both well visits (Jack's 3 year, and Lucy's 4 month) I will update on how everyone is doing! We are excited to see what they have to say about the little munchkins!

Happy times! :) And if that's not enough pictures...Check out some more of our pictures!
