Pumpkins!

We have had so great luck with weather each Fall for our Burt's Farm tradition with Poppa and Nunno! It was a BEAUTIFUL morning! It was chilly enough but warmed right up in the sun! The kids were VERY excited to see all the pumpkins. They really do have some beautiful pumpkins..and LOTS of them!! We spent some time running around and checking out the pumpkins and then we headed for the hayride! Burt's has a really great hayride that goes throughout their property! We picked out a lot of pumpkins to bring home! Some for decoration, some to carve and some to paint! Then we found a great spot near the creek and enjoyed the SUPER yummy picnic that Nunno made for us! I think we were as excited about the picnic as the pumpkins! It is such a fun tradition and we look forward to it each year! This was our 6th year going with Poppa and Nunno and are very thankful for the fun Fall morning!
The adults got away for a great weekend in Highlands, NC. BIG thanks to Poppa and Nunno for watching the babies for us to have some adult time! The Coopers and Reillys went with us and we enjoyed having no schedule, great food and lots of great wine! It was a perfect Fall weekend up there! The trees were changing and the weather was beautiful!
We finally got our Halloween costumes picked out and the kids have wanted to wear them around the house! We are trying not to break our accessories before Halloween!
We enjoyed a nice weekend around the house together just the four of us! We even had some excitement this afternoon when we found a 2.5 ft. snake in the backyard! I am completely creeped out and decided it was time to play inside! The kids were entertained and Daddy to the rescue to get it out of our yard... it may or may not have been a violent end to the snake.
It's late afternoon and time for snacks and getting ready to eat our chili we made yesterday! Fall is such a great time of year!

FULL swing of things!

Full swing over here! It is a VERY nice quiet Sunday evening... Doors open, rain falling, wine flowing! Ha! Waiting on Homeland to start! (and I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting the fabulous foot rub I am going to get tonight!!!!)
We LOVED our visit with Nannie last weekend! We headed up to North Georgia to visit an apple farm! It was so fun! The kids LOVED picking the apples off the trees! They both got very into it and each had their own bag. We have eaten a TON of apples over the last week! (And they are very good!) In typical Leonard fashion..we managed to find a winery around the corner! Ha! A good friend of mine growing up now works with Steven. His brother owns a winery in Ellijay so we stopped by for a drink and tour! It was so great! the kids made some friends and played while we enjoyed some wine and amazing views! What a happy day! The days you don't plan tons and fall into some great memories are the best! Nannie had so much fun with the kids! We were so happy she got to go with us!
Jack got the game ball last Wednesday night and we were ALL so proud! He has really done amazing with hustling after the ball and having fun! We asked him to just to focus on hustle and he really has done so well! He was very excited about the honor of the game ball!
Steven and I got to go to a Ga Tech Thursday night game and sit in the Civil Engineering Suite! It was too fun! Gorgeous night but Tech didn'st play so great! :(
This weekend we headed to the Coopers on Friday night for the annual Greek Festival! We have gone for seven years together! We just walk across from their neighborhood! Great food, always nice weather and the kids enjoy dancing and the rides! It's a fun tradition and glad we have kept it up! We had a sleepover that night. Jack and Caroline thought that was too fun!
Saturday night we had Morgan's BIG 7th birthday party!!!! It was a campout theme! Aunt Elizabeth outdid her self once again! The kids played so hard! They had crafts, fun (messy!) games, great food, roasting smores and even got to camp out!!! Jack and Steven stayed and slept in the tent while Lucy and I headed home (at almost 11pm! That girl was NOT happy about heading home! But she was asleep in a minute!)
I got up SUPER early.... picked up the boys at 4:50am so they could come get back in bed at the house while I headed to Buckhead for a HALF MARATHON!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!
The girls (my fabulous running buddies who I love TO DEATH) and I rocked the race! I still can NOT believe we finished another one! It was crazy...intense... and super hard! Lots of hills in this one and was quite a challenge! I am so proud of us and SOOOO happy it is behind us! Way to go ladies!!!! I could write a LOT more about this.. but I will not bore you with the details!

SO much fun Fall stuff! We are trying to soak in every moment! I got home around lunch today and we all took a nap! MUCH NEEDED! We spent the afternoon and evening on the deck with a great dinner and watching the kids play! Starting another week!
