We are very happy to be back home after a FABULOUS week at the beach! We had the best time and definitely think it was one of the best vacations we have ever been on! It had all of the things that make a vacation perfect.... great weather, lots of relaxing, LOTS of sleeping, good friends, slow mornings, and fun days in the sand! It was just perfect! We definitely caught up on our sleep this week! I think most nights we were asleep before 9:30pm and up around 7:00am!
We stayed at Seagrove Beach, Florida in a house right on the sand! It was really nice to be on the beach! Set up of the tent and beach gear (by Daddy of course) was so much easier and we could run back and forth to the house to get whatever we needed or to go potty! (Jack still doesnt understand that you could tee-tee outside or in the water.... but would rather him stick to his potty training, so we won't complain!)
Jack had the best time! He could not have been any more fun this year! He LOVED the beach and the sand! He loved jumping waves with Daddy (he wanted to go in the water and do "big splashes"!) We built sand castles, sat by the edge of the water and looked for shells, played under the tent and in the little pool, jumped over big waves, had snacks on the beach, dinners on the deck, ice cream in Seaside, games of hide and seek in the beach house, and lots of playing!
We were so lucky to have great friends staying right next door! Jack was over the moon to have Lauren right there to play with! I know he will miss her this week! They were really cute together and we all had a great time!
We can't wait to do it again next year! But as for now...it's the middle of September, all of the Fall decorations are out and a pumpkin spice candle is burning (Please ignore the 90 degree temps that we are still having), and Lucy will be here soon! We start the down hilll slide in our third trimester for the Fall! It was a really really great Summer!!! (Now come on cooler temperatures!)
