Is it really the end of summer?

Ice Cream after dinner with my buddy Caroline

I love my Great Granny!

Ice Cream on a summer night!

Swinging at the park!

I am tall like Daddy!

I love my rocking horse.... I am about to kiss it on the nose!

Friday night Happy Hour!

Pizza on a Friday night!

How is it the end of August? I know it's not officially Fall yet, but on September 1...the Fall decorations come out! They are some of our favorites and we want to enjoy them for as long as possible! I actually finished a Fall wreath this morning and it is hanging up! Are we ready for Fall? YES!
We had such a great weekend! Great Granny was here from Savannah! We played a lot and had dinner and ice cream with friends! A weekend at home is so wonderful!
Jack is really starting to say a lot more words and is having so much fun! He is still doing really well in school (Woodchase Academy), but is having a hard time at drop off time. I am sure we will deal with this for a while! But once Daddy leaves, he is fine in a few minutes! He has been eating his lunch and taking his nap, so we are very happy!
HOWEVER...we have been sick twice now since he started school..yep, only 3 weeks and sick twice! But they have both only lasted one day and he seems to be just fine!
Our little man is really growing up!
You have to check out the pictures from last Friday night too... Let's just call it happy hour and Jack was the only man! He handled it very well!
For everyone that doesn't know....it is a VERY big week in our house! It's Race Week in Atlanta! Steven has been working so hard and is doing such a great job! The NASCAR race is this upcoming Sunday night at Atlanta Motor Speedway! We are so proud of Steven and wish him such a great race week!

Enjoy all the new pictures!

Growing up...

We had a great weekend in Gainesville with Nana and Poppa! We celebrated Poppa's birthday (a little early) with Uncle John, Aunt Jennifer, and Hossie! It was lots of fun and of course Jack got some cake! Aunt Jennifer looks so cute pregnant!
Jack had his 15 month appointment on Monday (he was a month late - he was actually 16 months old on Monday! But we got behind with some vacations this summer!) Anyway! He did great and weighed 25lbs. 6oz. and had a "excellent" exam! He got some more shots and it was the first visit that he wasn't as eager to go to Dr. G! (as you can see in the picture!)
Jack also started Woodchase Academy on Tuesday. He will be there on Tuesdays and Thursdays! He did really great for his first day! He took a nap and ate like a big boy! His good friend Andrew (who live next door) is in his class and they played together a lot! We are so proud of him... I think tomorrow may be a little harder since he will know that he is getting dropped off there! But hopefully he will do great!
We are so proud of our sweet little man! He makes us smile everyday!

Seagrove Beach 2009

We had a BLAST at the beach this past week! Jack loved the beach and playing with his good friends! He and Jadon loved the baby pool on the beach! We put it under the tent and they had such a good time! And the adults loved our time on the porch each night talking! It truly was a great week with good friends! It is definitely going to be an annual tradition!
We are back home and enjoying a quiet weekend! It was a fun time at the beach and we are worn out!
Enjoy all the picutres!

More fun in our busy summer!

Another fun week of our fun summer! We had a very busy weekend! We played at a neighbor's house with pizza and slip n slides on Friday night, worked in the yard, ran errands, met Jack's new buddy Knox Flannagan, cooked out with the Coopers, went to Gville to visit Nana and Poppa, and to Jack's 2nd Camp Meeting! It was such a fun weekend!

We followed it up with a busy week... Monday we went to a slip n' slide play group at a neighbor's house (same one from 4th of July) and Jack LOVED the big hill again! He got to play with all of his good buddies and tried out flirting with a cute girl (you have to see the picture!) Tuesday we went to the zoo with some of Jack's friends too! He had a great time and was worn out when we left. He literally slept in the car for about 9 minutes...and that was it for our nap that day! We went to tour his new school that afternoon, Woodchase Academy (formerly Sunbrook Academy)! WE really loved it and think Jack is going to have so much fun! He starts the week of August 10 and will be there Tuesday and Thursday! He is even going to be in the same class as his next door neighbor Andrew!
So tonight, I am trying to get packed for our big beach trip! We are so very excited!!!! We leave Sat. morning and we can NOT wait to see what Jack thinks of his first big beach trip! Wish us luck on the drive down! Can't wait to get back and share pictures (yeah, I will probably take a few!)

Fun times in Savannah!

We had a really great LONG weekend in Savannah! We spent Friday and Saturday night at Sally and John's house! We took advantage of their lake and did some major relaxing and floating around! We also got to go on a boat ride! Jack's first boat ride! He enjoyed the first 5 minutes and then was FAST asleep! We went to Tybee for a little bit and let him play in the water! Nannie, Ugga, and Great Granny spent time with us there which was so nice! And Jack especially liked playing with his big cousin Sarah! She was great with him!
Sunday we went to Mimi and Papa Frank's to do some more relaxing on the water! Jack played in a small pool and hung out on the dock with us! He even had his first swim in the river!

Now...the fun stuff.... we ate REALLY well when we were there! We had steaks, blue crab, low country boil, shrimp pasta, fried shrimp, homemade coleslaw and hush puppies and boiled peanuts! WOW! Does it get any better than that?! Ann and I made it quite the elegant combination when we drank our wine and ate boiled peanuts while floating around on the lake!
We are back home and getting ready for our beach trip next week!!! Our summer continues to be busy and so much fun!

Happy 4th with our brave little man!

We had such a great 4th of July weekend at home! We went to the pool lots and cooked out with friends! It really was a great weekend....Did I mention that Steven and I napped with Jack on Saturday and Sunday too! Wow, that was nice!

Jack was having a fit over the slip n slide at a neighbor's house this weekend...so, he and another one of his little buddies decided they had to go too! Well, they had a blast and were too cute to watch! Jack is really fearless and clapped for himself every time he went down..... I really mean EVERY time he came down! It was too funny! We are not lacking any self esteem over here!
Jack got to play with his good friends Morgan and Will on Sunday! They had lots of fun! Everyone is really growing up!
Jack is also a big fan of watermelon as you can see from the pictures! It doesnt get any better than hanging out in the backyard eating watermelon on a gorgeous summer night!
We are headed to Savannah this weekend for some fun on the water! Hanging out on a boat and taking Jack crabbing for the first time (I will be sure to take some pictures! Hahaha!)
Things are going great and we are continuing our VERY fun and very busy summer!
Check out our new pictures!
