Whoa! Jack got splashed!

SO much fun!

Playing in the pool in Nunno and Poppa's backyard! That's a pool ring he put on his head!

BIG SPLASH POPPA! Throwing rocks in the creek!

Find a big rock for me Poppa!

We had a great Memorial Day weekend! Daddy was in Charlotte for the majority of the time but got home last night in time to tuck Jack in for bed! We were very happy to have him home! Jack and I spent Thursday night with the Coopers! It's always fun to see he and Caroline play together. Jack told me several times the next day, "Have fun with Caroline!"
Friday morning we headed to Gainesville to play with Poppa! We went to the park where Jack went for a long walk and saw several bridges. We also stopped for Poppa and Jack to play in the creek and throw lots of rocks in the water! The splashes were a hit! Jack had a great time! Then we headed to lunch for a hotdog! Nunno got home in time to help give Jack and bath and read books! Saturday, Jack got lots of good time with Nunno and they went for a walk! We all went to a water park that afternoon and Jack had so much fun! Gainesville has the neatest water park for kids!
Sunday we got up and headed back home! However, it was not without a stop by Scottish Rite to have Jack's bug bites checked out. Jack got bit by some mosquitos on Friday playing in the backyard. They really got swolen and were not better by Sunday morning. So, more for my peace of mind I think, I took him by Scottish Rite to have someone look at them. They seemed to be very big and I was worried they were going to get infected. BUT they looked fine and Jack took some Benadryl and they are SOOOO much better! Luckily, they didnt bother him very much! But they worried me!
Today we had a great day at home with Daddy! A big breakfast and lots of time building towers with Jack's new blocks! We headed back to the Coopers for a Dinner Club with friends and it was so much fun! It's always a good feeling to leave good friends after a fun time! Now, back to reality and the work week!

Jack is....

Hey Blue Eyes!

Fun in the yard on Sunday morning! Jack played with bubbles for an hour!

I love my Daddy! Fun Saturday nights in the backyard!

"CHEESE!" (Yes, I say this for most pictures!)

Smelling the flowers... "no touch flowers!"

I gave lots of kisses this weekend!

I can't help myself! They are the cutest buns in the world!

.....going to be a big brother!!! For those of you that have not heard, we are pregnant with our second baby! We are beyond thrilled and after a VERY trying first trimester, we are feeling much better and getting more excited everyday! I will have to thank my amazing husband for taking such good care of us these past several weeks. I have been struggling with fatigue and nausea...pretty much 24 hours a day! BUT it's gotten much better and Steven has been amazing! (I am sure this is not news to anyone...he is always amazing to us) I am sure the one or two home cooked meals I have made in the last week were a welcome change!
Baby #2 is due November 30th! It's just so exciting! :) We feel very blessed and can't wait to meet our new little angel!

We have had a busy Spring and have enjoyed playing outside lots! We had a fantastic visit with Sally and John this weekend! They were here from Friday-Monday and it was great! Sally is an amazing help with Jack and EVERYTHING else! She cooked great breakfasts for us and entertained Jack a ton! Cleaned the kitchen and made lunch! It was awesome! Not to mention that it was just great company! Steven and I slept in until about 9am Saturday and Sunday!!! You will notice from the pictures that Jack was giving out LOTS of kisses and hugs this weekend! We will take those all day long!
Daddy is headed to Charlotte this weekend for four days and we are going to visit Nunno and Poppa (As you can imagine, Jack is THRILLED about going up there! He loves it there!) It will be nice to have some company over the long weekend with no Daddy!
We finished up Music Class on Friday and Jack really enjoyed it again! It's our 4th session and I am sure we will do it again this Fall! He is really loving singing these days and sings along to all his songs! Jack is doing great with his counting, colors, shapes, and flash cards. It's amazing to watch him learn! While he can't "read"...he has most of his favorite books memorized and a lot of times will read along with us! He still loves his books over most anything! He has been such a sweet boy and we are really enjoying watching him grow! We just can't believe we have this littler person that lives with us! He continues to amaze us everyday!
Lots of things to be happy about in the Leonard house! We are growing our little family!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

The WHOLE family! Getting bigger!

Happy Birthday Anna!

Sisters and the babies!

Jack loving his first train ride!

Ohmigosh! There's Thomas!

Friends helping friends!

Poppa with the birthday girl!

Well....let's just say April was a little crazy in the Leonard house! Sorry for not posting more last month, but we were on the go all the time! We had a great month! Jack's birthday, lots of family company in town, Georgia Tech class winding down, a trip to Philadelphia for a wedding, birthday parties, and more! Whew! It was fun, but looking forward to a little bit slower May!
This month has started out great! We went to see Thomas last weekend in Chattanooga! Jack loved it and he really enjoyed his first train ride! We have been playing outside most all the time! The weather has been wonderful and Jack still loves to play outside! Steven and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary on Friday. Poppa came to get Jack Friday morning..they went to music and headed to Gainesville to spend the night with Nunno and Caitlin! They had a great time (Jack LOVES going to Nunno and Poppa's house...which we love too!) I had a wonderful Friday to myself! I got a manicure and pedicure, watched some TV and spent a quiet night with my sweet husband! It was perfect! Saturday morning was nice and slow and then we headed to Anna's first birthday party! I can't believe she is a year old! She was a perfect birthday girl and the whole family was there to celebrate! It was a very happy day!
We spent Saturday evening with Jack's best buddy Lauren! The kids played in her new pool in the backyard while the adults sat around and chatted! Perfect evening!
Today I slept in and the boys went to pick up yummy biscuits for breakfast! When I came downstairs, Jack had on the cutest "I love Mom" T-shirt that Nunno made!!! He yelled, "YAY Mommy! Happy Mother's Day!" It was too sweet! We played outside lots, all took a nap, and went to mexican for dinner! It was a great Mother's Day for me! I love a day with my boys!
Jack is moving classes next Tuesday! He will be in the Senior Toddler class at school! I am excited for him and he will be with two really good buddies...Andrew and Tessa! I bet he will love it! He continues to grow up so fast! He talks to us constantly about everything he is doing and we love it! It's amazing to watch him grow and learn.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there and especially all the ones that have made such an impact in my life! Happy Day to all!

Birthday Boy!!!

Anyone notice anything wrong with this picture?!

Why are you taking pictures of me? By the way..I took off half my pjs!

SO, it just doesnt seem like there is any way that we have a TWO year old! WOW....time flies, doesn't it? We had such a happy day on Saturday! It was so fun to have friends and family together to celebrate with the little man! The weather was perfect and everyone had a good time! SUCH a happy day! Jack enjoyed playing with all of his friends! He had a really great time opening all of his presents after nap! He kept asking..."Open more presents?!"
The weekend would not have been complete without a visit to the Scottish Rite Emergency Room on Sunday morning! Jack woke up around 2am on sunday with a "croup" cough. If anyone has ever had a child with it...it's very distinctive! He was alright and went back to sleep..but when he got up he had it again and had some loud breathing...so off we went! Since Jack had such a severe case a year ago, we just dont play around with it! He was a good boy and they gave him a steroid to help! HE didnt need a breathing treatment, so we came home and took it really easy! He is doing just fine now! It completely came out of nowhere!
Gigi went home on Monday. We always loving having Gigi around! She was a big help this weekend and we loved her visiting! Nannie and Ugga come in town Thursday night! They are coming to visit and watch Jack on Friday (I have a training for work)! We are very grateful for the help and Jack will love playing with Nannie all day! They even get to go to Music Class!
It's been a really busy few weeks and a few more busy ones are ahead!
Jack has his 2 year appointment with Dr. G tomorrow so we are anxious to hear what he has to say! I wonder how much Jack weighs now!!!! SUCH a big boy!
Enjoy our happy birthday pictures!

Oh Happy Day

So proud of such a great family!

Loving Daddy!

Happy Easter Mommy!

I am looking cute and ready to run!

Happy Jack!

Dying Easter eggs for the first time!

So happy Grandbubba is here!

IS there a treat in this egg?

Happy Easter! It has been a wonderful Easter week! AND Spring is here...actually more like summer! We are enjoying the weather but it is a little hot a little early! We have the AC on!
Today was a fabulous day with family! Grandbubba came up to spend the weekend with us and we had such a great time eating lunch and dinner outside and playing with Jack! He was also here to celebrate the Easter bunny this morning! Believe it or not, the Easter Bunny found our house! Jack got lots of fun stuff! Steven, Jack, and I went to church this morning for an egg hunt and to enjoy the Easter service. It was really nice! We are really enjoying the new church we joined! Jack looked too cute!
We got home to LOTS of great food (Bubba cooked and did so much!) Nunno, Poppa, Britt, Anneke, Anna, Jennifer, John, and Caitlin were all here! It was just amazing! It was fun to see the grandkids together! They are a good looking bunch! We enjoyed using all the good china and having a really nice lunch...even with 3 little ones! Everyone behaved! :)
It is officially the start of Jack's birthday week! We are on the countdown to our little man turning 2! What a big boy! He is even able to sing "Happy Birthday to you!" now! He is having so much fun and can't wait for his party this weekend! WE are going to celebrate at school on Thursday and here at the house on Saturday! What a fun time!
We are so blessed to have such wonderful family!

And he's off to hunt eggs!

I love my potty!

Jack is helping with his screwdriver!

Jack helping dig!

Bath time is always fun!

Playing my drum in my diaper!

It is almost April... which means the little man is about to be 2 years old! Isn't that crazy?! He is really a big boy these days! He talks more and more everyday. We can completely communicate with him these days and it's so much fun! He has also been using the potty most nights before bath time! 4 nights this week he tee-teed on the potty before bath! We are so proud (he is pretty proud of himself too!)
We finished Jack's new playset in the backyard this weekend! With some help from Daddy, Poppa and good friend Bryan, it is done! Jack LOVED playing with Poppa during construction! They are always so cute together! The swingset looks great and Jack has been so excited about it! He played on it last night for a long time! We also went to an Easter Egg Hunt in the neighborhood yesterday afternoon and had a great time! When it was time to hunt eggs, Jack took off up the hill with his basket and found 4 eggs (there was some competition for those eggs!) He was thrilled to see a treat in his eggs! He has been playing with Easter eggs in the backyard for awhile now but they have not been filled with treats! It really has been an awesome weekend! We ate pizza outside on Friday night and watched Jack's good buddy Lauren! WE grilled out with good friends on Saturday night and are about to take a nap on Sunday afternoon! It doesn't get much better!
We have two more Easter egg hunts this week and then family coming over on Sunday to celebrate Easter with us! It will be so nice! Grandbubba is coming in town on Friday and we can't wait!!! We love having him here! He is going to do a lot of the cooking for Easter (Which is always fantastic!)
April is going to be a very busy month for us! This upcoming weekend is Easter and Grandbubba in town, next weekend is Jack's birthday and Gigi will be here with us, the next weekend Nannie is coming to help watch Jack while I go to a trainng (we also have two birthday parties and a company picnic that weekend), and the last weekend we are headed to Pennsylvania for a wedding! Whew! It will be May before we know it!
We feel blessed everyday for our little life! Jack is so much fun!

Grandparents, Animals, and FUN!!!!

Way up high on Poppa's shoulders!

Jack and Caroline on the fire truck!

I love Oreo's!

Mommy, Poppa and Jack on the train at the Zoo!

Laid back at Nunno and Poppa's in my Thomas PJs!

We have had a great weekend! Jack and I spent most of the weekend at Nunno and Poppa's house since Daddy was at the race! The race is going on right now and so far it has been such a great weekend for Steven! We are so proud of him! We can't wait to have him home tonight!
Friday we went to the Zoo with Poppa! Jack had a great time and walked and played the entire trip! He was worn out when we left! He saw lots of animals, rode the Carousel, rode the train, played on the playground, had lunch and ran into one of his best buddies, Ryan! It was a fun day! Saturday we went to Rhett's birthday party at the Children's Museum in Gainesville! It was so neat and Jack had fun! Unfortunately, some of the plastic slides kept shocking Jack everytime he came down the slide. Usually it was Poppa getting the shock in return! Jack proceeded to hold his hand and tell everyone "It shocked ME!" It was too funny!
Jack and played and played so hard all weekend! He absolutely loves being at Nunno and Poppa's house! He asks about them constantly and loves being with them! We are blessed to have such wonderful grandparents!
Mimi and Papa came to visit last weekend while they were in town for a party! We loved having them and Jack was thrilled to visit with them too! He loves when Mimi tells him stories and "picks bugs"! Mimi clicks her nails together while she plays with Jack's hair! She did it to Steven when he was little and he still remembers it! Now Jack asks for it when she is around!
Jack and I met the girls for brunch today and he was a perfect angel! SO well behaved! I was very happy since that let me visit with my friends! I have such wonderful girlfriends and are so thankful for them in my life!

Jack is just growing up so much! He remembers so many things and is learning and talking all the time! He now counts to 14, he loves to color, he says his "whole" name - Jack Leonard all the time (it's too cute), he loves to talk about his friends, he is loving the nice weather so we can play outside! We start Music Class this Friday and he will love it again!
