In .....to......EVERYTHING!

WOW! We are really impressed with our BIG boy! He is all over the place and really fast! I think we both have a new appreciation for the term "IN TO EVERYTHING!" Jack is so fast and into every cabinet, drawer, corner, stair, chair, toy, box, and anything you can imagine! We are having the best time with him! He is really growing up! Everyday is more fun than the last! He loves playing outside, and is learning to throw the ball and has even played basketball a little with our neighbor's little goal! He is saying "Please" now which we think is the cutest thing ever! (Mostly comes out "Puh" or "Ssss"..but cute all the same!) We finished up our Spring Music Class and Swimming classes! We are taking the summer off to free up some time for the pool!

This past weekend Daddy was in Charlotte for the race, and Great Granny came up to stay with us! We had a really great visit! Nana and Poppa came up on Sunday to play with the little man and he LOVED it! He really loves his Nana and Poppa! :)

We are glad Daddy is home and ready to start a really busy summer! Hopefully the time will start slowing down, right?! It sure doesnt seem to do anything but get faster!

On another note, in case anyone hasn't heard!!!! WE are OFFICIALLY an aunt and uncle! WE are so very very excited that Anna Lothridge is here! She was born on May 7 (our anniversary funny enough!) and is doing awesome!!!! I am going out to visit her in June! I can NOT wait! And we are even more excited because we are going ot have another niece or nephew in November!!!! Jennifer and John are pregnant! It doesnt get any better than this! We are so incredibly happy and blessed!

Walking around!

Jack is really walking everywhere now and it is so cute to watch! He is getting more confident every day! We are having so much fun right now! He is officially doing just one nap a day! He is taking a nap around 12:45 most days and doing great with it! Such a big boy! He tries new foods all the time and still liking most everything we give him (keep your fingers crossed that it stays that way!)
We did have to go to the dr. on Friday....Jack had a runny nose and cough for a week! But of course, it didnt slow him down! He slept great and played hard! But I wanted to make sure it wasn't anything more than a cold....and it was! He had an ear infection! Our first one! He really handled it great, I would have never known! He is on antibiotics and never missed a step! So we are thankful for that!

We had a fun family-filled weekend! Dad, Landa, Hossie, Jennifer, and John came down on Saturday to grill out and we had a great time! Everyone enjoyed seeing little man! Sunday night, Judy and Frank came in town to visit and we had a great visit with them too! We all ate outside on the patio last night! The weather has been so nice!!!
This weekend is our anniversary, so we are going to stay at Chateau Elan for one night to celebrate and Nana and Poppa are keeping Jack! We are really excited! We will pick him up on Sunday to celebrate a quiet Mother's Day just us!
As always, we feel blessed every day!!!!

The kids all played together! Jack LOVED his cake...again! I bet he thinks this is going to happen every weekend!!! We had such a great time!
Jack also had his 1 year check up with Dr. G! He said he looked "EXCELLENT" and his physical exam was perfect! He weighs 23 pounds and is 30.5 inches long! What a big boy! He is walking more and more everyday! It is soooo fun!

We are enjoying the nice weather and spending more time outside!!

Big Birthday Boy!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! We have such a big boy now! Jack is ONE!!!! We celebrated his birthday this past Friday at home! We had such a fun day! Daddy came home early and got to go to swimming class with Jack! He loves to go under and "jump" off the edge into the water! He has really enjoyed it! Jack got to try some cake for the first time and really liked it! It was a perfect happy day and we spent lots of time talking about that special day one year earlier!!! Time has really flown!
We went to Savannah early Saturday morning to visit and celebrate Easter and birthday with our families down there! Saturday was a nice day at Granny's! Once Jack went to sleep...we sat up and dyed Easter eggs! We had so much fun! The Easter bunny had come to visit while Jack was asleep! He got lots of fun new books and toys! We went to church at St. John's (which is always special because it is where we got married and had Jack Christened! It is such a beautiful church on one of the squares downtown!) It was a beautiful morning!
We all went back to Granny's for lunch and celebration! All of our family was there and that made it so special for us! Jack really really really loved his cake! We could not have dreamed up a better response to the cake! We laughed and laughed! It was a COMPLETE mess and TONS of fun!!! He got lots of fun new toys! It was such a HAPPY day!
We got back late last night and are getting ready for his birthday party here this weekend! (Yep, another celebration! We are going to celebrate for a week!)
Some other Jack news............ we go see Dr. G this week for his 1 year check-up! Jack's car seat is facing forward now, he is drinking whole milk (for some of the day - still taking formula at night!), he is backing off his chair and couch like a big boy (without swan diving face first into the floor!) .................and he is really starting to walk!!!! He walked so much at Granny's on Saturday! It is so fun to watch him!!! We are so proud!!!!

Happy hospital baby!

Well, this has been an interesting week for the Leonards....it all started Sunday afternoon around 4pm. We got home from Gainesville (where we had such a fun visit with Nana and Poppa!) and Jack was playing just as happy as always! He started coughing and sounded like he was breathing heavy. We called the nurse line at our pediatrician and they said it sounded like he had croup (a bad cough caused by a virus that inflames the airway)...they said to watch him since he was already sounding raspy with his breathing..well, as the night went on it got worse and worse. At 11:15pm, we headed for the ER at Children's Healthcare (Egleston). They rushed us back when we got there. Jack sounded really bad...his breathing was very heavy and labored and he had an awful cough. They gave him a breathing treatment and it helped..but not for long. They decided to admit us to the hospital once he started coughing again after about 30 minutes. He ended up having 3 breathing treatments and an x-ray of his neck to make sure there was nothing blocking his airway. As most of you know Jack...he was a happy playful baby the whole time! He flirted with everyone! I think most of the nurses and doctors that saw him fell in love with him! How could you not?! That made it easier for us! It was one of the scariest moments of our life. We never knew what it would be like to worry about our little angel so much! Jack is doing great and we were there about 12 hours. He has been a good boy all week! There was no real reason why he had it so bad, but we are just glad it is over! We are thankful for our healthy baby! One bad virus...we can take it! :)
Other Jack news...he has taken a couple of steps a few times, but it is still very much on his terms! He does it when he wants too! He is so fast cruising and crawling!!! He is saying "Uh-oh!" now alot! He goes to certain toys if you ask him to go specifically get it! He is clapping all the time (very proud of himself for most anything...we have no problems with self-esteem!) He is growing so much each day and getting so strong! It's so fun to watch! He is also eating lots of table foods now...still haven't tried to the big no-no's yet (nuts, seafood, some larger food) He gets better everyday! He LOVES grapes (cut up small), mandarin oranges, goldfish, yogurt, Nilla Wafers, applesauce, pasta, bananas, cheerios.... We haven't really found anything he doesnt like yet! I hope it stays that way!

We went to a birthday party today for Super heroes!!! Jack was so cute! We also visited with Aunt Jennifer and Uncle John tonight! Jack loves them so much! He was so excited to see them! It's hard to believe that his birthday is in less than two weeks! Every day with our little man is the best day of our life.

St. Patrick's Day, Races, and Fevers!

March came and is FLYING!!!! I seem to mention that alot, but we are amazed by how fast our time is going! It is less than a month until Jack's birthday!!! How exciting...and scary! Our little baby is quickly becoming a little boy!

We got back tonight from Savannah! Whew! It was fun and we are exhausted!!! We spent Friday night with Mimi and Papa Frank and had the best time! We got one of our favorite dinners ever...Frank's homemade fried shrimp! We headed to Savannah on Saturday... Granny and Nannie (Ann) kept Jack while we went to a low country boil charity event with a group of friends! We even got to go out to a nice dinner with Ansley and Hagan! What a treat! Sunday we visited with Aunt Denise, Grandbubba, Mamie, and Shirley! Then that afternoon we had lots of friends over to Granny's to visit and see Jack! He was quite the performer for everyone! We went to the parade today with a big group and had a blast! Jack's first St. Patrick's Day was a HUGE success! He loved it all!

Now, going back to last week.... Daddy had a very successful race weekend in Atlanta! It was beautiful weather and Jack, Poppa, and I went to visit and Jack got to go to his first NASCAR race! Wooo hoooo! He was the cutest! We didnt think we were going to get to go because Jack was running a fever ALL last weekend. It even got up to 104 and we had to take him to Quick Care. Luckily, he is a healthy strong little boy and fought off whatever bug he had and had a happy attitude the whole weekend! We are very blessed that it didnt turn into anything else! Our sweet little man! We dont ever want him to feel bad!

So, as always...we are busy and happy as can be! Each day with our little family is better than the last!

Enjoy all the new pictures! There are LOTS!
