Who is happy about school getting out and summer starting??!!!! WE ARE!!!!!!!!!!! Whew! The last few weeks have been filled with activities and parties and fun..... and it's been AWESOME! BUT, we are ready for some downtime and cruising in to our summer!
The kids have had such great years in school! Jack is finishing up 1st grade and we are thrilled that his teacher is moving up to 2nd grade and Jack will have her again! Jack got the "Best Reader" award in his class this year! We are so very proud!!! Lucy had her Pre-K graduation last night (mommy got all teary at the slide show! Such a sweet baby girl!) She was precious and we are so proud of how well she has done and excited about her starting Kindergarten in the Fall! She will do one year of Kindergarten at Goddard and then go to Vickery Creek with Jack Fall 2016. She moved up to Pre-K early and has done very well and the school feels like she is ready for Kindergarten! Lucy also had her end of the year Ballet/Tap Recital this week! She was all smiles and proud to show off her dances! We were very fortunate to have Nannie, Aunt Neese and Poppa here with us to celebrate!
The kids also BOTH completed their Gotta Run Kids session this week! They went every Tuesday to a running practice where they were working on a timed mile. We are so proud of how hard they have worked! Jack has absolutely taken off and is becoming a very strong runner! Lucy cannot be left out and as the youngest in the group finished her mile this week too! AND both kiddos are 3 weeks into Polo swim team! Jack is in the 7/8 year old Dolphins and Lucy is a Flipper! They are loving it and becoming very strong swimmers! Our meets start next week! Go Dolphins!
Mommy and Daddy can't be left out of all of the excitement. We have both been super busy with work and the kiddos schedules but have managed to fit in a few fun events! We attended a golf tournament and wine reception at Chateau Elan to support the Georgia Tech Civil Engineering program! We also went to the Tailgate Experience Party at the College Football Hall of Fame last week as a part of the AIA National Convention.
Another really fun event we attended recently was the CHOA Spring Classic at Turner Field. We were invited to a suite for the game! UGA vs. GT baseball game! Unfortunately, the Jackets weren't able to pull out the win, but we had a blast! The kids loved all the snacks and even got to go down on the field before the game!
Whew! AND....... last but not least we celebrated BIG time last weekend with a pool party here at the house! We have been so excited to share the backyard with everyone! We have worked really hard and finished our pool projects and yard work back there! We had a blast with TONS of friends and LOTS of kids in the pool! It was a very happy night and loved everyone being here!
Welcome SUMMER!!!!!! Pool time and happy family time! Bring it on!
