Poppa is 60!!!

Poppa turned 60 over the weekend! We got together to celebrate on Sunday afternoon and it was great! The weather cooperated and we were able to hang out in the backyard and let the kids play for the entire time! Oh thank you weather for being a little bit cooler the last few days! It is always so great to get together with our family. It's so great to see the 3 grandchildren together and we are so excited about there being two more very soon!!! Anneke and I are slowly moving into our third trimesters!

It's race week in Atlanta which means Daddy is super busy! He is doing such a great job and working so hard! We are so proud of him!!!! It should be a great weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway! Good luck Daddy!

We also hosted playgroup this morning to say goodbye to Lauren and Cecelia (they are both moving and this was their last playgroup).  It was very bittersweet. We are so sad to see them go! All the kids played hard and had pizza and cookie cake!

New rooms, dinosaurs, and milestones!

We had a fun Family Saturday morning! Steven, Jack and I went to the Fernbank Museum to the Dinosaur Bash! It was lots of fun and Jack had a great time! We got to tour the whole museum (Jack loved all of the animals and dinosaurs) and they had a big birthday celebration for Dinosaurs in the main hall.  We made a dinosaur hat, played bean bag toss, played with the bubbles with the Bubble Man, and got to see a triceratops walking around! It was fun!

Jack started his new class a couple weeks ago and has done very well! He has two new teachers that we really like! They said he is a really great listener, and lots of fun during interactive times! He always tells me what he did that day and who he played with when we get in the car! He really likes his friends at school and has lots of fun! But ...you dont want to get in trouble around Jack, because he will not keep it a secret! Some days I get a report on who was "so so sad" (had to go to timeout) that day! So far, that has not been Jack! Let's hope he keeps up that trend!

Jack is also in his big boy bed! He has done SOOOOOOOOOOOO great! He thinks it is a lot of fun and talks about his bed lots! He stays in his bed and waits on Mommy and Daddy to come get him in the morning! We only had one day during the first nap that he got up a few times! Let's hope he continues to do well! He looks so cute in his bed and I love being able to lean down and kiss his little head at night before we go to sleep! What a big boy! He even told his "friends" (stuffed animals) to "Stay in bed! Never Never get out!"
The only thing that Jack missed the first night was the chair. When we went to sit on his bed to read books, he kept asking about his chair (that is where we have sat for 2.5 years at bedtime). It's in Lucy's room! Luckily, there wasn't a huge fuss over that. I think the excitement over the big boy bed took his mind off of the chair!

Our past weekends have been super busy (What's new? We seem to have stayed that way lately) BUT very successful! Grandbubba and Aunt Denise were in town to help paint! The boys painted the living room and sitting room downstairs and Lucy's room! (OH PINK IS SO FUN!) Her room looks so cute and the crib is up with her new bedding! It looks like a completely different crib! It is really so fun! Our projects aren't complete but we are slowly checking things off the Leonard to do list!

I am continuing learning to sew with some help from great friends! I really think it's fun and am excited to try some new things! Hopefully Lucy will think it's neat that Mommy made some of her dresses!

Time marches on...we are almost in our third trimester!

We have had a couple of great back to back weekends of family time! Two weekends ago, we all went to Gainesville to celebrate together at Camp Meeting (it's a yearly tradition at my grandmother's church where everyone stays together for worship and fellowship for a week... it's a southern tradition and not all churches do it..but our whole family gets together for one of the nights for dinner down at the campground. This year was my grandmother's 61st Camp Meeting! She has never missed one since she married my grandfather and started going when she was 18) There are four great grandchildren and two more on the way! The kids always love it and play very hard while we are there! And of course the food is always great! There is never a lacking of food! However, it was VERY HOT this year! Whew! But well worth the time together and we got some great pictures of the family!
This past weekend, Jack and I went to Savannah for 4 days just the two of us! Jack could NOT have been any better and I was so proud of him for being such a good boy on our trip! I was a little nervous about the drive down and back just us! But he did so great! He had a great time playing with Aunt Mimi, Great Uncle John, Nannie, Ugga, Granny, Gigi, Mimi, Aunt Denise, Sammy, Sarah, and Great Aunt Laura! He even got to meet his Great Great Aunt Helen! Whew! That's a lot of visiting! Jack made time to "perform" for everyone! He sang songs with hand motions and tons of animation! It was hilarious! He definitely realizes that he is on stage! He went to the Yacht Club pool with Aunt Mimi, Nannie, and Sarah. He swam in the lake, played with the dogs, had lunch at Granny Floyd's, walked to the tower, and played with everyone! It really was a great weekend for us with the family!
With all that said....Jack and I were SOOOOOOOOO happy to get home to Daddy Monday night! That was too long and I think we all missed eachother a little too much! It's nice to be back together!

Grandbubba and Aunt Denise are coming this weekend to stay and help paint and organize some things for Lucy! We are so excited!!! I can't wait to get her room started! PINK!!!!!!

July was a VERY crazy month for us, but filled with lots of fun, trips, friends, family, and company! We are a little worn out but recovering! The weeks keep passing and I keep getting a little bigger! Lucy is really moving around and doing so well! I had my OB appointment yesterday and everything looked great! Dr. Marcus said I looked great! Always good to hear! Glad everyone is healthy and happy...now if I could just catch up on some sleep!

Enjoy all of our fun pictures!
