Family Fun!

We had a happy Sunday! It worked out for most of the family to come over for lunch! All five grandchildren were together which makes us so happy! We grilled hamburgers and had fun treats! The kids had a great time being together and it was fun to catch up with everyone!
It's been a fun weekend at home! After a long week of work, we had pizza on Friday night just the four of us! Saturday morning I got up and went to a 90 minute endurance cycling class which was crazy and FUN! We spent the afternoon playing outside and grabbing dinner out again.  This morning was so much fun outside with the family! It was nice to have a quiet weekend at home!

New School Year!

Tomorrow morning Jack will start his last school year at Woodchase Academy.  He will be in the last classroom on the hall! It's crazy to think about! I thought the kids in that class were always sooo big! I couldn't imagine my sweet baby being that "old"! He will be with his same group of buddies in PreK-4! He will go Monday-Thursday (both kids only go Tues-Thur now since those are the days I work) Back to lots of academics and homework again! The summer was a nice break from that! We are so proud of him and can't believe that this is his last year! Good luck to our sweet little man!
Baby Lucy will start a new class this week too! She is quite social and will be with her same group of buddies too! I am excited about having some one on one girl time with Lucy on Mondays! :)

We had a nice "last weekend" of the summer.  Mimi was here with us and got to spend some good time with the kids! They love her being around! I had to work most of the day Friday, so it was great that she was here! Steven met me out that evening. I was out with a big group of co-workers after our Quarterly Staff Meeting. It was lots of fun and we were able to grab dinner just the two of us after drinks! Saturday we played outside most of the day and enjoyed the nice weather! :) Today was EVEN better! Seriously, the temperature outside this morning was FABULOUS! We spent the morning in the backyard playing and visiting with neighbors. We went to the zoo for most of the afternoon. That is always so fun! The kids really love going and running around looking at all the animals! Lucy now can identify most of them and loves seeing them! We got home and played in the pool in the backyard and grilled hotdogs! It was a really happy day! Steven and I are going to try to get a little relaxing in tonight before starting another VERY busy week! :)

Be warned....their might be some indecent pictures below! Hahahaha!

Lucy before church last week! That finger is staying in the back of her mouth.. I think 2 year molars are coming in!

Sweet babies before church

Typical Summer night at the Leonards! Dinner outside in our swimsuits!

Lucy feeding Daddy a bite of her cookies (Seriously...notice the pose!)

They might kill us one day for this...but they are too cute and LOVE being naked (AND doing a naked dance! Nightly ritual around here...just usually not outside!)

Brother and sister!

Go Jackets!

Today was Fan Day at Georgia Tech! We headed down to the "BIG football stadium" to see football players, cheerleaders and Buzz! Jack was most excited about seeing some cheerleaders (However, he hid behind me when we went to talk to them... a little shy around the ladies!)
The pictures are pretty cute, but the truth is that neither child was in a great mood.  Jack didn't want to leave the house...then he didn't want to leave Tech. We woke up Lucy from her nap and she was kind of on edge most of the afternoon after that. Just to give some reality to the afternoon! We had been at a birthday party earlier and both kids did lots of swimming and were pretty worn out!
ANYWAY! Back to good 'ol Ga Tech!
Lucy looked precious in her cheerleading outfit that Santa brought her last Christmas. Jack was VERY excited about seeing Buzz and having his picture made. Lucy was excited and waving to Buzz until she got close. I am sure the picture below will give an indication of how scared she was of him up close! They both LOVED the huge blow up Buzz at the end of the field. There were LONG lines for most of the players and Coach Paul Johnson, so we just waved from a distance and ran around the field! It was a nice afternoon and fun to take the kids back to where I went to school! Maybe we will be taking one of them there one day! We headed to our favorite pizza place for dinner and going to settle in for a quiet Saturday evening!

This is Lucy's new thing...she thinks everything is loud! She covers her ears and says, "LOUD!"

Jack was so excited waiting for Buzz!

Out silly Luce Goose!

Hmmm...Lucy was not a fan of Buzz.
