It's Fall Y'all!!!

OH!!! The Leonards LOVE Fall! (I am betting I have typed that before!) We love all of it! The events, traditions, weather, decorations...everything! We got out all of our decorations the first weekend in September and have added a few things over the month! We got some new plants and hay bales today so we could put our scarecrows out! Today's weather was beautiful and it was so fun! We even went over to Fowler Park for an event called "Play in the Park"! It was fun and the kids got to share some cotton candy, visit a petting zoo, see a few friends and bounce in a jumpy house!

This month flew by and we had a lot going on! Steven and I completed the Whole 30 (It was a very rewarding experience that was also challenging! Feel free to google it if you are interested, but it is basically a program of eating only whole/real food for 30 days!) Jack started Forsyth County Baseball! It is coach pitch and he is getting better everyday! We are the Cobras this season! As always, Jack just has a great time and thinks it is fun! Jack was recognized at school on Friday for "Citizenship"! He was called up on stage in the cafeteria during a special session! He was recognized for sharing with his friends and helping others. His teacher said he is an example for others! We are so proud of him! He was pretty proud too!
Mommy went on a girl's beach trip for a long weekend and it was "PERFECT"! Seriously...Perfect! We have it completely figured out! It involves a lot of talking...a lot of sitting....a lot of great food....and plenty of drinks! It was just amazing and I am VERY grateful for those fabulous ladies! Sign me up for next year! I am already counting down! Steven had some downtime and enjoyed golf and some quiet time while the kiddos got to visit Poppa and Nunno! WIN-WIN-WIN situation! The Leonards were happy that weekend!

We also had some really great company this month! Aunt Mimi and Uncle John were here to visit one weekend and Mimi and Papa Tillie were here this past weekend! We are blessed to have family come to spend time with us and the kiddos!

Looking back we did squeeze a good bit in this month! It is hard to believe that October is only a little over a week away!

Proud of my Boys!

We had a happy and proud Labor Day!!!! Daddy ran his first 5K race at Fowler Park and did so great!!! He ran the whole thing and did it in great time! It was so fun to stand there with the kids waiting to see him cross the finish line! Jack and Lucy were cheering so loud! Daddy reached out to give Jack a high-five before he crossed the finish line! SUCH a happy morning!!! After the 5K race was over, it was time for the kiddos to line up for their 1K race! Jack seemed excited about his race (He also made sure that I knew that this was his SECOND race..since he had just participated in the Magnolia Run with the family last weekend!!)
I was out in front to take a picture of the kids lined up, and when they said "Go!" Jack TOOK OFF! He ran right past me so fast! Lucy ran a few feet but then got kind of bored! Thank goodness Stacey was there to take off after the kids! Lucy and I looped back to the front so we could see them finish the race! Jack came running around the corner with a big smile on his face! He ran the whole thing and was so proud! They even gave the kids a medal when they finished!
What a fun morning! We spent the rest of the day pretty quiet... it was raining and everyone was tired (Well, Daddy's knee was hurting, Mommy's tummy didnt feel good and we were pretty worthless! Ha!) We did manage to pull all the Fall decorations out (Jack had been begging to get everything out, so we finally started in the late afternoon!) The kids had the best time pulling out all their Fall/Halloween books and helping pick spots for our decorations!
As I mentioned in the last post, this was truly a happy weekend!!! Feeling blessed!

Lucy LOVES the big girls! She loves playing with Hannah!

Good Decisions

It has been such a happy weekend. It has also been a really good confirmation of the decision we made to move to Cumming. Fun times around Forsyth this weekend!
Friday night we went to the West Forsyth High School football game! It is just around the corner, it's a beautiful school and it was a nice night! There were tons of people there! We saw neighbors and a few kids that Jack knew from school! We met the Reilly's there too! AND Poppa and Nunno came with us too! West Forsyth played Gainesville High! GASP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our new high school vs. my high school! I was so torn! (Well, maybe not that torn! I will ALWAYS be a Red Elephant!) It was so much fun! Lucy loved shaking her pom-poms and seeing all the cheerleaders! Jack sat with Morgan and William to watch the game! We really were hoping to have this type of experience for the kids! It was really happy and made us feel so good about the decision to move out here and raise the babies! (Oh...and by the way. GHS won the game!)
Yesterday we spent most of the day swimming at the house! The Coopers came up in the afternoon to play and to go with us to the Polo Fireworks show.  We met the Reillys and the kids all got to play in jumpy houses and run around! They had great food and the fireworks started at 8:30! It was SUCH a great show! We still can't believe how big the fireworks were and it lasted a long time! The fireworks were over the driving range and we all sat in chairs while the kids piled on a blanket to scream and cheer for the show! Driving across the street to come home afterwards was just awesome!
What a fun and happy time! We are so happy about the decision to move up here and find this experience for the kiddos! It's exciting to think about them growing up here and being part of so much fun!
Go Wolverines!!! Lucy cheered so loud!

Lucy was so excited to meet an actual cheerleader!

Happy baby girl!
