Staying Busy!

We are staying busy here in Mableton! This weekend was no exception! Friday evening we had some friends over for pizza and playing in the backyard! After the kiddos went to bed, Mommy met up with some other moms from the neighborhood for a fun night out (Thanks to Poppa for coming down to stay with the kids!) It was a LOT of fun! Saturday morning we were at the t-ball fields bright and early. The Rangers did great and we are always proud of Jack when he hustles! Jack and I went to a birthday party while Poppa took Lucy on to Gainesville. Jack had so much fun at the Art Party! We went to Gainesville that afternoon and had a nice laid back evening playing with Poppa and Nunno! This morning was sweet baby Lauren's Christening and we had a great time celebrating her! Jack and Lucy were asleep before we left the Gainesville city limits! They played hard all weekend and were worn out! Daddy enjoyed a fun guys' weekend celebrating Tracy's upcoming wedding!
It really was a happy weekend! Check out some of the pictures from the last couple of weeks! Click HERE to see all the pictures!

Running the bases! He was last batter so got the "homerun" and got to go all the way around! His coach grabbed his helmet off since it was bouncing all over the place on his little head! He loves running the bases!

Glove on the head?! I don't think that is exactly "T-ball ready" on defense!

Jack really is a big help to us with yard work! He helps water the plants and spread pine bark!

Pizza Pizza!

It's just been one of those days....the ones that are happy and the weather is great and you have lots of the "Ahhhh Life is good" moments! We have celebrated Jack's birthday ALL week! I think we have officially come to the end of the celebrations! It's been a fun week though! Jack had his old playgroup over on Friday to play and have pizza (There has been a pizza theme this week!) It was really fun to see all his buddies and spend the morning playing and catching up with all the mommies! The crazy part is that all the "babies" are now kids too! Lucy had lots of buddies to play with too! We really loved Jack's playgroup and it's really nice to keep in touch with all of them! The kids played, ate pizza and had cookie cake! We sang happy birthday to the whole group!

Bumblebees! All grown up!

This morning we got up and ran out the door to Jack's t-ball game! He had a lot of fun playing and was SUPER excited that Poppa and Nunno made the drive down early to be at the game!

We headed home to change clothes and pick up a few things and then to the party! We had a small party at our favorite pizza place to celebate Jack! The kids all got to make their own pizzas and pick their toppings! They enjoyed playing together and eating their pizza! And what do you have for a treat after all of that???!! PIZZA CAKE!!!!! It was a happy day and everyone had fun! Jack looked super cute in his Birthday Pizza shirt that Nunno made!
We spent the afternoon (AFTER A NAP!!!) playing in the backyard and eating yummy leftovers for dinner! We have BIG plans tomorrow to not leave the house! We have lots of "chores" we need to and lots of good down time to play! It's been one of those days! Exhausting, fun, exciting and happy!
There are lots of pictures from this week! Click HERE to check out all of them!

Happy Birthday Jack!

I never really understood why every time someone had a birthday...you would hear the stories about "so and so years ago... I remember the day and when you were born...." However, now that I am the mommy... I really get it! Steven and I re-lived the whole experience last night and today. It really was magical. Sometimes it seems like that was so long ago and sometimes it feels like it was yesterday. FOUR years have passed by since that exciting day when we met the little man! He was so little and so perfect. I never imagined that he would sit up and play.... much less have mature conversations with us and be doing so much on his own and be THE big boy that we know today. He makes us so proud each and every day. We love him so much and love seeing the big brother that he is to Lucy. Happy Day SWEET little man!

Happy Birthday! Jack woke up to balloons and a chocolate covered donut! How exciting!

Jack at school with the two friends he picked to sit with him up at the special table....anyone notice that he picked TWO GIRLS!!!! Miss Andrea made special mention that Jack wanted the girls with him! Oh gracious!

Jack being silly during "Happy Birthday!" Lucy is never far away and got to sit right next to the birthday boy! She couldnt wait until the song was over to start eating...imagine that!

Make a wish!

Jack was so excited Lucy was at his party in his classroom. She walked in and was so excited to be with Jack!

Jack's sweet class! He has been with these kids since he was 18 months old!

The four of us spent a special night together! We had pizza with fruit followed by cookie cake! Jack got to pick a movie after dinner and we all snuggled and watched The Lion King! Such a happy night!

Lucy liked her cookie cake too! She is checking her plate to make sure she didnt miss any thing!

Sweet picture with Jack and Aunt Jennifer!

Happy Easter! What a glorious day!

What a happy day! SO many things to be thankful for this Easter. We started the day with such a happy service at church. It's been so great to be part of such a great church and it felt so good to celebrate today! We have had such a great weekend with Granny here visiting with us! She has had a great time with the kids and they have truly loved her being here! Jack keeps asking, "Is Granny staying? Will she be here tomorrow too?" We went to the annual neighborhood Easter Egg hunt yesterday and it was fun as always! Lucy went after two eggs with her age group, but quickly lost interest and went back to the food table! Jack was in the big kids group this year and when they said, "GO!" he took off the opposite way. At first I was confused and thought he missed the idea of the hunt (I dont know how after all the ones we have had this season), but then quickly realized that my smart little man was headed to get all the eggs from the other side of the yard where no one was hunting! He filled up his basket quickly and was QUITE impressed with himself! We grilled out and dyed Easter eggs together yesterday evening. Jack did so many eggs and loved it as always. Lucy didn't really participate... partly because I knew it would be ALL over here. Maybe next year! She was content playing around the yard! We had a beautiful centerpiece for the table today with all of our pretty eggs!

The kids were so excited to find out that the Easter Bunny came to our house! They were so excited to look in their baskets! Both kids got a new dinosaur and car (both favorites!) and Lucy got her first ball! She has loved all of Jack's, but the Easter Bunny thought she needed a pink one! After church Nunno, Poppa, Aunt Jennifer, Uncle John and Caitlin came to eat lunch with us! It was so yummy!!! We had ham, macaroni and cheese, corn casserole, green beans with feta cheese and peach fluff! We topped it off with chocolate iced cake from our favorite bakery to celebrate an early birthday with Jack. (NO WAY he is 4 in two days...that just can't be right!) We sat around and watched the Masters and hung out after lunch. It was truly a happy day and we are so blessed.  We are thankful for each and every day....and today was a really special one! Happy Easter!

Happy girl in her bunny shirt that Nunno made her! She loves her little rocking chair! It was my great grandmother's chair.
