Birthdays, Braves, Booze and Fun times!

Good times for the Leonards so far this Winter. It seems like even though our weekends slowed down a bit after the holidays, that we have still been busy! We managed to squeeze in an amazing adult trip, celebrate my birthday, and meet some of the Braves!

Steven's second cousin John Michael Gant was called up to the official Braves 40 man roster in november. He was drafted by the Mets out of high school and has played for several minor league teams! He has done amazing and has finally been called up to the majors! He was at Braves Fan Fest this year in his jersey so we went down to Turner Field to see him and enjoy the festivities! We were so proud and the kids were excited! They have told everyone that their cousin plays for the Braves! We are hoping he will pitch for Gwinnett this Spring and we will get to see him!!!!

I had a really nice birthday at home with the family! We hung out on the deck, had dinner, treats and good wine! And a few days later headed out to California with the Coopers! We continue to get even better at that trip! 5th time is a charm! It's just the most amazing happy vacation there is (outside of with the kids..of course! ha!) We spent lots of time at a few of our favorite wineries and tried out some news ones which included two cave tours! It was so cool! The wine was amazing and we found some great places to eat! A fun game of Bocce ball at sunset and one night in Half Moon Bay overlooking the Pacific! It was awesome!!!!

Jack and Lucy had some Valentines's parties at school and the whole family got to stop by Lucy's! She was sooo excited! Another big event was the Pinewood Derby this morning! The boys worked so hard on their Antman car! It looked great and they had a blast! It may not have been the fastest car out there, but we were proud!!!

It's been a fun start to the year and we are enjoying squeezing in some downtime just the four of us! we have had some fun movie nights lately! Next weekend, Daddy and I are headed to Seaside for the weekend for my 5th half marathon! I have had a blast training with some of my best friends! We are heading down with the hubbies!

Pinewood Derby!

Valentine's Day!
We always have breakfast for dinner with a few pink twists in there for Valentine's Day! We also surprised the kids by telling them we are going to Disney World for Spring Break! Let the countdown of the rings begin! They pull one off each morning at breakfast!

Braves Fan Fest!

California Trip!

We spent the first night in Half Moon Bay. It was absolutely gorgeous! We had a private fire pit at our room, the sunset was breathtaking and the sunrise was amazing! We ate a Pasta Moon and loved every bite of it! I even got in an early morning run that day! There was a path along the cliff and it was beautiful!

We started our Napa adventures (after a stop at In N Out burgers on the drive up!) at Cuvaison! The mustard flowers were out in the fields and it was beautiful!

Cave tasting at Del Dotto - where the real wine buying started...YIKES!

We started Friday morning at Schramsburg - amazing sparking wine (can't call it champagne! Apparently the french dont like that!) This was also in a cave... MILLIONS of bottles stored in the caves!

A few new places along the way! Why not join a wine club at Brian Arden! It was gorgeous there...oh, and the wine was great!

A favorite for several trips is Ehlers Estates!

Bocce Ball at sunset back at Indian Springs in Calistoga. We spent two nights here! They have amazing naturally heated mineral pools and we enjoyed a relaxing swim each night! Calistoga is a super cool town at the very top of the valley!

Another favorite is Burgess. We started Saturday morning up at the top of the mountain! Beautiful scenery, quiet atmosphere and great wine! Cabernet is fabulous at 10am!

Where there are flowers...we take pictures!

Our last stop of the trip Saturday afternoon was Robert Biale. Just amazing wine.. I would say probably our favorite! They have unreal zinfandels and a perfect setting on the floor of the valley. Someone stopped by with a 1997 Zindandel from their collection.  The staff opened it and even let us try it. Just amazing and what a cool experience! We brought the empty bottle home for a reminder of that afternoon!

And last but not least..... we had the Beer Can Chicken at Bounty Hunter on our last night. We have gone every trip and it's always so great! It's in downtown napa and absolutely has the best chicken in the world! Cheers!
