Happy Easter! What a glorious day!

What a happy day! SO many things to be thankful for this Easter. We started the day with such a happy service at church. It's been so great to be part of such a great church and it felt so good to celebrate today! We have had such a great weekend with Granny here visiting with us! She has had a great time with the kids and they have truly loved her being here! Jack keeps asking, "Is Granny staying? Will she be here tomorrow too?" We went to the annual neighborhood Easter Egg hunt yesterday and it was fun as always! Lucy went after two eggs with her age group, but quickly lost interest and went back to the food table! Jack was in the big kids group this year and when they said, "GO!" he took off the opposite way. At first I was confused and thought he missed the idea of the hunt (I dont know how after all the ones we have had this season), but then quickly realized that my smart little man was headed to get all the eggs from the other side of the yard where no one was hunting! He filled up his basket quickly and was QUITE impressed with himself! We grilled out and dyed Easter eggs together yesterday evening. Jack did so many eggs and loved it as always. Lucy didn't really participate... partly because I knew it would be ALL over here. Maybe next year! She was content playing around the yard! We had a beautiful centerpiece for the table today with all of our pretty eggs!

The kids were so excited to find out that the Easter Bunny came to our house! They were so excited to look in their baskets! Both kids got a new dinosaur and car (both favorites!) and Lucy got her first ball! She has loved all of Jack's, but the Easter Bunny thought she needed a pink one! After church Nunno, Poppa, Aunt Jennifer, Uncle John and Caitlin came to eat lunch with us! It was so yummy!!! We had ham, macaroni and cheese, corn casserole, green beans with feta cheese and peach fluff! We topped it off with chocolate iced cake from our favorite bakery to celebrate an early birthday with Jack. (NO WAY he is 4 in two days...that just can't be right!) We sat around and watched the Masters and hung out after lunch. It was truly a happy day and we are so blessed.  We are thankful for each and every day....and today was a really special one! Happy Easter!

Happy girl in her bunny shirt that Nunno made her! She loves her little rocking chair! It was my great grandmother's chair.
