Tis the Season

Fa la la la la from the Leonards!!! It's definitely looking like Christmas around here! It is truly the most wonderful time of the year and we are getting the most out of it! But, before I get into the holiday fun we are having in December, let me share a little from November!

November brought birthdays, half marathons, turkeys and soccer! Daddy turned 40 on November 12th!!! WHAT??!! Can NOT believe that! We had the best time celebrating him! The kids and I got up super early that morning and decorated downstairs! They were so excited to help! We also had someone come decorate the yard too! Funny!!! We celebrated with cake, family dinner for Hibachi, adult dinner at Branchwater and fun gifts! He got a 12' inflatable movie screen for the backyard, a new gas grill for the deck and lots more fun! Happy Birthday Daddy!!! We had another birthday with Miss Lucy turning 5!!!!! She was so excited! We woke up that morning and Edward the Elf had come back! He was all dressed up for her birthday! He brought fun treat cereal, pjs for both kids and presents for the birthday girl! Lucy had a little girl come play for a few hours and then friends came over for cake and our first outdoor movie by the pool! It was so fun! A fire, some snacks, drinks, cake and a movie! Awesome time!!!!
Thanksgiving was a wonderful time as always! We went up to Poppa and Nunno's on Wednesday afternoon and had a fun lunch and dinner! We woke up early so that Poppa, steven and I could get a run in together before starting the turkey frying! We ran 3 miles and it was too fun! We fried two turkeys and hung out the whole day with family! Nunno made an amazing lunch! We all had leftovers and the adults even played a few games of Heads up!
Friday we went to get the Leonard Family Christmas Tree!! Wooo hoooo! Go big or go home! We had a great time decorating the tree together! Only a few tense moments with mommy and daddy and some of the lights going out! Ha! YIKES! The time off together over Thanksgiving was just so great! Lots of family time, playing with friends and having fun! Looking forward to more time off at Christmas!
I ran my 4th half marathon in Savannah with a fabulous group of girls! It was a fun weekend and a SUPER hard race! Heat and humidity were the headlines for the race and the marathon was even stopped early because of the conditions! YIKES! We all finished and Kristin and I had a great time at the Rascal Flatts concert after! I also ran the Serenbe 15K trail race for the 3rd year in a row with Kristin! It is such a beautiful place and always fun! I even got to see Sara and Scott there!

So.... on to Christmas time! We are ready for family to visit and continue celebrating! We went to the BDR Christmas Party on Friday night in Midtown! Too fun and lots of Bunko as tradition would have it! And we had a ton of neighbors over last night for drinks, appetizers and fun! It was a house full! The decorations are up and we are enjoying Christmas shows and movies each night! Breakfast with Santa, Nutcracker, family visits, Dinner Club and more to come! Tis the Season!!!!

Daddy is 40!!!
