Proud Principal Pal!

We have had some really proud moments as parents and this past Friday morning was a big one on the list! Jack was selected as Principal Pal for the month of November (basically like student of the month)! We were so excited when we heard from his teacher that he had been selected and that he would be celebrated at a breakfast with the principal! Poppa, Daddy, Lucy (just as proud as we were!) and Mommy went with Jack to the breakfast! Each student was called on stage with the other Principal pals from their grade level! Jack smiled so big and looked like SUCH A BIG KID up there! It was so fun! Jack's teacher wrote a little about him and why he was selected: "Jack is a positive role model to his peers, treating his peers with kindness and always doing his personal best!"  It is so fun to see Jack in his big kid school! We are so happy to know that our sweet big hearted little man is loved by so many!

The morning before we got to attend the Thanksgiving Break"feast" at Jack's school! The Kindergarten classes put on a program and then we all ate together! Jack's class were pilgrims and he had been so excited for the past two weeks about the program! He smiled so big and sang so loud! We got to sit right in front of where he was standing! They were the cutest little pilgrims ever! That same morning we headed over to Lucy's school to celebrate an early birthday with her friends! We brought cupcakes, fruit and crackers to all her class! She was smiling so big and holding her birthday balloon when we walked in the class! She was so excited we were there! It is so rewarding to see the kids at their school so happy and so excited that we are there to see them!

November went by very quickly and we had some really fun times! Birthday celebrations with sweet Caitlin, a weekend in Gainesville while Daddy was enjoying some down time with some good buddies, decorating for Christmas and Mommy threw in a few races! We are completely decked out and ready for the holiday season! We are enjoying some fires on these cold nights and the house smells like Christmas! It's a fun time of year! We can't wait to head to Poppa and Nunno's this week for Thanksgiving!!! And we will get our REALLY TALL tree on Friday! Watch out!!

The Hill Country Trail Race (15K) at Serenbe was one of the toughest but most fun race I have done! I ran ahead of Stacey so I could get a quick picture with a horse! About 85% of the course was in the woods. We didnt get many pictures along the way because we were REALLY having to pay attention in the woods. Some of the areas were only wide enough for one person and we were watching our feet! Stacey did get a few pics along some of the wider areas we ran through! It was beautiful and so cool!

What do they serve after a 9.3 mile run on a trail?! BEER!

Jennifer and I ran the "Pay the Last Toll" race on Ga 400 last weekend! We ran on the highway! It was 4 miles from Glenridge to Lenox Road! That is too cool! The toll ended this past Friday!
