Fa La La La La!

It's the holiday season!!! Not that we haven't been in the holiday spirit for the past couple of weeks! I think we have decided that it officially takes us 2 weeks to decorate! Whoa! But it's been fun! (I will leave out the parts about the 3 different sets of lights we tried on our tree..and the multiple trips to Wal-Mart and maybe a slightly frustrated mommy!!!)
We had a very happy Thanksgiving and Poppa and Nunno's! We headed up around lunch on Wednesday and had a fun lunch at the Collegiate Grill in downtown Gainesville! Aunt Jenn, Uncle John and Caitlin came up that evening and we all went to El Sombrero for dinner! (the eating is out of control!) Our Thanksgiving morning did not disappoint! Lucy and I made monkey bread, we watched the Macy's Parade and the boys fried TWO turkeys! AND... Uncle Britt built the biggest tee-pee ever in the back yard! Jake and Jack found some of the biggest limbs in the woods! Jack even dragged down a few by himself!
Lucy's birthday was ON THANKSGIVING DAY this year!!! We celebrated her all day! We all sang to her after lunch and she blew out the candles on her cookie cake! We can't believe our baby is THREE years old! We are having a small tea party for her this weekend!
It was such a yummy lunch and good visits with the family! We enjoyed staying that night and hanging out! It was a very happy and thankful day!!

Friday morning we got up early and headed back to Cumming to get ready to get our tree! GRACIOUS.. it is HUGE but fabulous! We knew we wanted a big tree. WE had the best time at Hunter's Christmas Tree Farm! The kids got to make an ornament out of Christmas tree, they saw Santa, got some hot chocolate AND helped pick out the tree! We found a tree (10' tall) and loved it! They even wrapped it up for us.... but then we found an even BIGGER tree!! Yep, we were those people. So we got the BIGGER tree! We put it on top of the van and headed to the house!!! We had to have Poppa come down to help us get it in the house! (Again..HUGE!) It was intimidating when it was sitting there with no lights or decorations..but once we got it decorated it is COMPLETELY MAGICAL! We love it!!!! The kids loved unwrapping each ornament..they were unwrapping them faster than we could get them on the tree! We also got the trip tree up in the front window! Whew! We are almost done decorating!!! Just a few more things! Ha!
AND Edward the Elf came back from the North Pole this morning!!! The kids were so excited to see him and the fun breakfast he brought!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!! Happy Leonards!

Making Christmas cookies with Mommy!

Hot chocolate!

Let's go find our tree!!!

Jack told Santa he wanted an Ipad! GRACIOUS!

Lucy wasn't really sure about Santa

She tried it for a second...and got a candy cane!

The family in front of the Christmas tree!!! (However, this is not the tree we got! We went bigger!!)

HUGE!

They are laughing about how heavy it is! As the Griswold's say..."It's not going in our yard...it's going in our living room!"

A little scale of the tree with the kiddos! And yes that is Snow White!

And the angel on top!

The girls making snacks for the Ga Tech game! Why not have a helmet on?!

Fun Saturday afternoon!

It's December!!!! Edward the Elf came back and brought a fun breakfast!

Jack was beyond excited! The first thing he asked this morning when he woke up, "Do you think Edward is here??!"

Happy kiddos!
